Simpson Strong-Tie Structural Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management/ Student Scholarship

We are happy to announce the kick off of our Simpson Strong-Tie Structural Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management Student Scholarship for the upcoming Fall 2016/2017 School year.   Simpson Strong-Tie’s Structural Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management Student Scholarship Program assists students who are pursuing undergraduate study in Structural Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.  This program offers scholarships to support education and encourage the design and building of safer structures in our communities.  Your school has been selected to participate in the program.  Detailed information along with a brochure/application is available at the following link on our website –

To apply to this program, the student must be:

  • A junior or senior enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study in architecture or structural engineering.

The Atkins Minority STEM Scholarship Program

Atkins is proud to carry on the tradition of assisting students of African American, Asian, Pacific Island, Native American, Native Alaskan or Hispanic decent in completing their higher education programs through the Atkins Minority STEM Scholarship Program.

Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration, the interested minority student must be of African American, Asian, Pacific Island, Native American, Native Alaskan or Hispanic decent, AND be:

  • A US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • A Junior or Senior, full-time, day-time student at an accredited and approved college or university.
  • Enrolled in contiguous fall and spring semesters, carrying a minimum of 12 credits and earning a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) each semester.
  • Working towards a baccalaureate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) with at least 60 credits of college work prior to the submission of the application.
  • Qualified for financial aid based on need and in accordance with existing regulation at the student’s university.

Scholarships of $2,000 are awarded for the fall and spring semesters to qualified students.

Upon meeting the program criteria, scholarship recipients are selected through a competitive process. A local selection committee composed of Atkins technical Leaders and Human Resources personnel will choose the recipient.
