2009 - 2010 Officer Elections!:
If you would like to become an ASCE Officer for the 2009-2010 school year, now is the time to take a look and see what position you would like to run for.
Elections are held at the end of April. For a list of positions, please see the officers page. The only catch is that in order to be President or Vice President you have to have held office for at least a year in the previous administration. All the other positions are open!

UNLV ASCE is hosting PSWRC 2010:
UNLV ASCE is hosting the PSWRC 2010 in fabulous Las Vegas! We will be co-hosting with Northern Arizona University (NAU). More info can be found as it becomes available by clicking on the link to the right!

Drainage 101:
UNLV ASCE is the hosting body for the first
technical training seminar for drainage studies.
Students/professionals who attend this seminar
will learn how to create a drainage study in
compliance with the standards set forth by
CCRFCD. The early registration cost of
this session will be $200 ($250 after the early
registration deadline) for professionals or
$100 for students (with valid UNLV ID, $150
after the early registration deadline) which will
cover registration fees, laboratory fees, educational
material fees, and a lunch buffet at
the UNLV Dining Commons.
Early registrations must be postmarked or
emailed by December 5th. After December ,
you will have to RSVP via email and pay at the
door prior to the commencement of class. Payment
must be received prior to the start of
the seminar.

This seminar is ideal for engineers with 0-4
years of experience. This seminar is bound to
be most helpful to new engineers and motivated
students. Seating is limited to 40 students and
professionals!!!

UNLV ASCE AutoDesk Professional Training Seminar:
UNLV ASCE is the hosting body for the first
of three engineering seminars. Professionals
who attend this seminar will earn 1 professional
development hour per hour of attendance. This
session will cover the Civil 3D aspects of Autodesk
as well as map guide. We will also be hosting
two other sessions which will cover ESRI
software and Google Earth at a later time. The
cost per session will be $400 for professionals
or $100 for students (with valid UNLV ID)
which will cover parking permits, registration
fees, laboratory fees, educational material
fees, and a lunch buffet at the UNLV Dining
Commons.

Daniel W. Mead Technical Paper:
We are looking for ASCE student members to enter the Daniel W. Mead Technical Paper competition. We will be holding our own competition for our members. The prize will be $100 cash, and your registration and trip fees paid for the PSWRC 2008 conference (a $100 value)!! Please send submissions to Trevor Ross. FUTURE ASCE OFFICERS!:
Are you are interested in being an UNLV ASCE Officer next year? If yes, You have the chance to go to the Workshop for Student Chapter Leaders.(WSCL) If you are interested please submit a one page summary on how you would improve the UNLV ASCE chapter to Vik Sehdev(sehdevv@unlv.nevada.edu) This is a requirment. You must submit the essay to be eligible to go to this workshop!!!!!!!!!!
